About this Collection
Plants and soil support the growth and utilisation of almost all resources for the continuity of life on earth. Without healthy plants and soil, all species, including humans, would be negatively implicated due to the consequences on food safety and security, ecosystem functioning, and more. Research and innovation to develop the knowledge and tools to regenerate, as well as preserve, plant and soil health are essential and of interest for all.

This collection aims to provide Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe beneficiaries with a space to openly publish work within the broad area of plant and soil health, and to join the European Commission's mission in leading the transition towards healthy soils by 2030.

The scope of the collection includes but is not limited to:
  • Fertilisation methodologies for plant and soil growth
  • Crop yielding
  • Sustainability and preservation measures for plant and soil health
  • Technological advancements for plant and soil health
  • Impacts of climate change on plant and soil health
  • Soil microbiome

All article processing charges will be covered centrally by the European Commission.
