About this Collection
On announcing its Global Health Strategy recently, the EU recognised that the Covid-19 pandemic ‘has reversed decades of progress in global health’. Additionally, according to the OECD, one in six people across EU countries had a mental health problem in 2016, equivalent to about 84 million people. This interdisciplinary collection houses research that tackles issues relating to physical and mental health, looking at the neural, psychological and social factors that influence how we behave in relation to our health and wellbeing, as well as research that presents new solutions to long-term health problems.
Potential foci could include (but are not limited to):
  • Behaviours that impact on health and wellbeing
  • AI / human interactions and new technologies for health and wellbeing
  • Prevention and managing of mental health conditions
  • Behavioural and psychological management of chronic medical conditions
  • Ways for practitioners to enhance patient outcomes
  • Intersection between psychology and public health in enhancing health and wellbeing of populations

All article processing charges will be covered centrally by the European Commission.
