However, data is often owned by one party and not shared with others due to privacy concerns, commercial sensitivity, or simply a lack of incentive. Solutions are required to enable and stimulate data sharing and interoperability in energy systems to realise the value of digitalisation. This Collection invites submissions addressing these challenges, including applications of distributed, federated, and collaborative learning in energy systems, and incentive mechanisms such as data markets and data spaces.
Deadline: Friday 27th October 2023
This Collection, running concurrently on Open Research Europe and F1000Research, aims to provide researchers with a space to openly disseminate work within the area of data sharing in future energy systems. Researchers have the choice of publishing on the F1000Research platform or on Open Research Europe, which is available to Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe beneficiaries. Information on article processing charges (APCs) for publishing in F1000Research can be found here; for authors publishing in Open Research Europe all APCs are covered centrally by the European Commission.
