About this Collection
Cancer is known to involve aggressive cell division spreading to many surrounding tissues which can be diagnosed in many forms depending on the age, gender, and genetics of an individual. Currently, it is estimated that one in two people will develop some form of cancer during their lifetime. Whilst the diagnosis, prognosis and treatments have improved over time, medical researchers and professionals continue to dedicate many resources to save and improve the lives of cancer patients. The open dissemination of such findings is pertinent to their successful implementation.

This collection aims to provide Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe beneficiaries with a space to openly publish work within the broad area of cancer, and to join the European Commission's mission in beating this disease.

The scope of the collection includes but is not limited to:
  • Cancer cell expression, function, interaction, and mutation
  • Cancer screening, trials, and surgery
  • Health and mental well-being programmes post-diagnosis and -treatment
  • Immune mechanisms and responses to cancer
  • Mouse models of cancer
  • Preventative measures and strategies

All article processing charges will be covered centrally by the European Commission.
