About this Collection
Amines are organic compounds and functional groups that contain a unit formed by the replacement of one or more hydrogen atoms of ammonia by alkyl or aryl groups. In nature, there are several variations of amines including vitamins, alkaloids, and other compounds. Several drugs are amines, while dyes and polymeric materials also contain this special functional group. Amines form the basis of a good number of human neurotransmitters and chemical mediators that control a wide variety of bodily functions.

The collection aims to bring together recent research related to these compounds and their utilization within the chemical sciences and other fields and industries. Submissions to this collection can be focused on but not limited to:
  • Synthesis of amines & developments of synthetic methods
  • Novel utilization & applications of the compounds
  • Experimental and theoretical studies
Both research and review papers are welcome.
